SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—(No. 23) Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's volleyball team (22-2, 13-0) won their 13 consecutive match vs. a WHAC opponent as they defeated Lourdes (Ohio) University (10-12, 7-7) in four sets. The Blue Devils defeated the Gray Wolves, 25-15, 30-28, 25-27, 25-8.
FIRST SET (25-15)
The Blue Devils and Gray Wolves battled for a majority of the first set, trading points back and forth. With an 18-14 lead, the Blue Devils went on a run and scored seven of the final eight points to put the Gray Wolves and get out to the 1-0 lead in the match.
SECOND SET (30-28)
In set two the Gray Wolves battled the No. 23 Blue Devils to the very end. Both teams were finding ways to put the ball to the floor. The Gray Wolves were able to deny two of their four set points before the Blue Devils connected on three straight kills to seal the set point. It was quite a performance by the Blue Devils' attackers, as the put down 21 kills in set two.
THIRD SET (25-27)
Set number three was the only set the Gray Wolves were able to take from the Blue Devils in the Don Ridler Field House. The Blue Devils were ahead 15-13 at one point in the match, but the Gray Wolves tallied three straight points to go ahead 16-15. They never gave the lead back to the Blue Devils and were able to extend the match.
FOURTH SET (25-8)
Set number four was all Blue Devils. They jumped out to an 18-3 lead and did not allow the Gray Wolves any room to think they had a chance to get back in to the match. Once again, the attackers for the Blue Devils put down 21 kills in a set vs. the Gray Wolves.

The Blue Devils will be traveling to the west side of the state for a couple of matches. They will be in action on Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th, with both matches being on the road. They will face off with Aquinas (Mich.) College on Friday at 7:00pm, and then on Saturday morning with Cornerstone (Mich.) University at 11:00am.
