
ROCHESTER, Mich. – The (RV) Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's volleyball team cruised past Rochester (Mich.) University 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-10) on Wednesday night in Rochester, Mich.
Lawrence Tech (10-1, 4-0) have reached their 10th win in record time, notching it after their 11th game of the season. The Blue Devils were led by Jessica Lodge with 12 kills and 12 digs while Madeline Hudson had eight. Varvara Gromakova finished seven kills while Isabella McDonald added six kills.
SET ONE
The Blue Devils jumped all over Rochester early, taking a 4-0 lead off Gromakova's serve as she had an ace and a kill to start the match. Rochester cut the lead to 11-7, but a 6-0 run by the Blue Devils to extend the lead to 18-7. The Blue Devils closed the set with the final seven points to take it 25-11.
SET TWO
Lawrence Tech trailed early, but it was only a matter of time before the Blue Devils would retake the lead at 7-6. They extended the lead to 20-12 as they wrapped up the set with a 25-18 set win to go up 2-0.
SET THREE
The Blue Devils went up 15-4 and never looked back closing the set out 25-10 to take the match 3-0.
