SOUTHFIELD, Mich.-The Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) women's tennis team looked very impressive yet again. The Blue Devils (2-0), once again, did not drop a single team point to the visiting Adrian College Bulldogs (Mich.). The final score in today's contest was 7-0 in favor of the hosting LTU Blue Devils.
To earn the first team point of the match, all three duos won by the same score of 6-2. Winning the team's point first was the pair of Sabrina Mateos and Maria Hazas in the #1 doubles match. Finishing right after them was the #2 doubles team of Carolin Minners and Samantha Kohn. To make the lead 1-0, the pair of Alice Radde and Samantha Weber won the #3 doubles matchup.
The Blue Devils in the singles matches were also perfect. They did not drop a set to the visiting Bulldogs. To get the team scoring started in the singles matches were #2 Webber, #1 Hazas, and #3 Mateos. The three all won in straight sets by scores of (6-1, 6-1). The #4 singles match saw Kohn win (6-1, 6-3). With the lead now 5-0, the Blue Devils did not let up. Minners won her match in the #5 singles spot for the Blue Devils by scores of (6-3, 6-4). To finish the night, Radde kept the shutout in tact for the Blue Devils by winning her #6 singles match by scores of (6-0, 6-2).
The 7-0 victory proves how strong this LTU Blue Devils team really is. The Blue Devils, in their first two matches, have yet to give up a team point.
