Blue Devils Fall 5-0 to Huntington University in IWU Wildcat Invitational Action

HUNTINGTON, Ind.- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's tennis team fell 5-0 to Huntington (Ind.) University on Friday, April 5 at the IWU Wildcat Invitational.

Lawrence Tech (9-9, 3-1) started with a two-point deficit after forfeiting doubles court-three and singles sixth flight.

Huntington (11-5, 6-3) pushed the lead to 4-0 after doubles action. Samantha Weber and Samantha Kohn dropped an 8-6 decision at court-two against Lanae Singleton and Lisa Colling. At first flight, the duo of Sabrina Mateos and Maria Vega-Hazas fell 9-7 to Meg Dolde and Morgan Fitzpatrick.

The Foresters sealed the victory in singles court-five when Maria Nicholls fell with a double 6-0 to Maria Ordendahl.

The Blue Devils return to the courts on Saturday, April 6 when they face off with Indiana University-Southeast at 10 a.m.
