Lawrence Tech Chosen to Finish Eighth in WHAC Women's Soccer 2019 Preseason Poll

The Wolverine Hoosier-Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the 2019 Women's Soccer preseason poll with the reigning conference champ, University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH), taking the top spot. The Lawrence Technological University Women's Soccer team grabbed the eighth spot out of 12 with 71 points following their eighth place finish in the 2018 season.

The Blue Devils ended their 2018 campaign with a 4-5-2 record in the WHAC, finishing eighth last year in a competitive conference of twelve. Overall, they went 7-9-3, holding a strong home defense with only three losses out of 10, including a 0-0 tie to the RV Aquinas College (Mich) squad of the 2018 season. The WHAC included the 18 spot overall in the NAIA, UNOH, only losing one game in conference play and an Aquinas College team who received votes throughout the season with a 9-1-1 WHAC record who took the second spot in the preseason poll. 

The first game of the 2019 season for the Blue Devils is a game down in Indiana to face Indiana University East on September 25. They then open up WHAC play at home this year against Rochester College (Mich) on Wednesday, September 25.
