FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – With only one loss to a WHAC opponent this season, the Lawrence Technological University women's lacrosse team secured the NO. 2 seed in the conference, resulting in a bye for the first round of the WHAC play offs. Following the quarterfinal game between Concordia University Ann Arbor and Cleary, with Cleary narrowly coming out on top with a 17-16 win, the Blue Devils will play the Cougars at 5 p.m. at Farmington Hills Harrison.
An 8-1 conference record and a 9-7 overall record has the NO. 8 Blue Devils welcoming Cleary (9-9, 5-4) to their home field on Thursday. Last time these two teams met, Lawerence Tech defeated the Cougars with a 22-4 win at home, where six Blue Devils found the back of the net and defensively stopped 11 of the 15 attempts by Cleary.
The winner of the semifinal game will then go on to play in the championship which will be held at the higher seed's home on Saturday, April 27th. On the other side of the bracket, the first seeded Indiana Tech (12-2, 9-0) will be playing Seina Heights University (6-4, 7-9) at home on Thursday.
