BELLEVILLE, Ill.—The (RV) Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's bowling team competed in the National Collegiate Team Match Games on Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st. The Blue Devils finished the weekend in 11th place out of 19 teams.
Day one of the competition had the bowlers of each team hit the lanes to roll six individual games to give the team a team score for each game. The Blue Devils, as a team knocked down a total of 5,264 pins in their six games (853, 935, 829, 799, 926, and 922). Leading the Blue Devils in the individual games was Victoria Giardiana. Giardina rolled her way to a total of 1,103, which was good for 31st out of 143 bowlers. Her individual game high was 204. Posting the best individual game score however was, Bailey Gipson with a score of 235 in her second game.
In the second day of competition the teams would roll 20 Baker Games. The Blue Devils would finish the 20 Baker Games with a total score of 8,990.
The Blue Devils will be back on the lanes this Saturday, December 7th, competing in the WHAC Jamboree No. 3.
