SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- This week, the Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University softball team will play four games at PFX the Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. On Saturday, March 9, the Blue Devils will face off with Grace (Ind.) College at 11:15 a.m. and Carlow (Pa.) University at 1:30 p.m. On Sunday, March 10, Lawrence Tech will play a double-header against Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) University at 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

University at 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. On Monday, March 11 LTU will face off with No. 6 Marian (Ind.) University, Missouri Baptist University, and Doane (Neb.) University at 9 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. The Blue Devils will play against Indiana University-South Bend and Saint Ambrose (Iowa) University on Wednesday, March 13 1:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. On Thursday, March 14 the squad will face off with Doane at 1:30 p.m., Missouri Baptist University at 3:45 p.m. and College of Saint Mary (Neb.) at 6 p.m. Finally, Lawrence Tech will face off with St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) College and Indiana University-South Bend on Friday, March 15 at 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
The Lancers lead the all-time series against the Blue Devils, 1-0, while this is the first time in program's history that Lawrence Tech (4-0, 0-0) faces off with Carlow and Embry-Riddle.
Last week, LTU won its four games at the UC/Union Classic. On Friday, March 1, the Blue Devils defeated Union (Ky.) College, 8-2, and University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), 1-0. On Saturday, March 2, Lawrence Tech defeated West Virginia Institute of Technology, 5-4, and the Cumberlands for the second time over the weekend, 3-0.
The Blue Devils have allowed six runs and scored 17, and sit third in the NAIA for earned runs per game, 0.5. Lawrence Tech has a 0.27 batting average and a 0.36 on base percentage. The Blue Devil pitchers have left 16 runners on base over four games.
Meredith Adams (JR/Portage, Mich. ) leads the squad with three runs, while Brittany Wieland (SO/Alexandria, Va.) has a batting average of 0.44. Kennedy Emmons (FR/Byron Center, Mich.) paces the Blue Devils with three RBIs; Gina Barber (SO/Canton, Mich.) leads the way for the team with a 0.56 on-base percentage. Brittney Bult (JR/Brampton, Ontario) has stolen two bases, 0.5 per game, and leads the NAIA for total runs allowed, none. Alexa Cherney (JR/Farmington Hills, Mich. ) leads the pitchers with 18 strikeouts, 9.69 per game. This week, Cherney was named Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for her performances against Union and the Cumberlands.
The statistics of Grace's (3-3, 0-0) last two games are not available yet. However, through its first four games of the season, the squad has scored 17 runs and allowed 16. Sam Heim paces the Lancers with a 0.57 batting average, while Olivia Scarbrough has registered three RBIs. Erin Lawhon leads the squad with four strikeouts.
The results of Carlow's (3-3, 0-0) last game are not available yet. However, the Celtics had scored 17 and allowed 19 in five games. Adrianna Gottheld led the team with four hits and two RBIs, while Abby Stroud paced the Celtic pitchers with seven strikeouts.
Embry-Riddle (2-8, 0-0) has allowed 59 runs and scored 28 with a 0.26 batting average. Carly Carlsen leads the pitchers with 3.69 strikeouts per contest; Bailey Critchlow paces the team with a 0.48 batting average.
Marian (0-0, 0-0) has not started its season yet. However, last year the Knights finished with a 51-7 overall record and 33-2 in the Crossroads Conference. The team scored 334 runs and allowed 101. Olivia Hoffman led the squad with a 0.44 batting average, while Breena Smith paced the pitchers with 224 strikeouts.
Through four games, Missouri (2-2, 0-0) has scored 26 runs and allowed 12 with a 0.35 batting average. Delissa Dennison leads the pitchers with six strikeouts, while Caitlin McNiff has registered two stolen bases and Ally Gischer leads the Spartans with a 0.5 batting average.
Doane (6-4, 0-0) has allowed 64 runs and scored 68 through its first 10 games of the season. Tayler Mashburn paces the Tigers with a 0.49 batting average, while Haileigh Tardiff paces the pitchers with 15 strikeouts.
St. Ambrose (7-1, 0-0) has a 0.32 batting average, has allowed 14 runs and scored 51. The Fighting Bees are led by Madelyn Thompson with a 0.55 batting average and Christina Pembrook with 23 strikeouts.
IU-South Bend (0-0, 0-0) has not started its season yet. However, last year the Titans finished with a 14-21 overall record and 8-14 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The team scored 105 runs and allowed 155. Mackenzie Shield led the squad with 42 hits, while Becca Stevens paced the pitchers with 72 strikeouts.
St. Mary (0-2, 0-0) scored five runs and allowed eight in its first two games. The Flames have a 0.22 batting average. Brittney Banks paces the squad with a 0.5 batting average, while Kelsey Goodban leads the pitchers with six strikeouts.
St. Mary-of-the-Woods (0-0) will start its 2019 season against Indiana University-South Bend on March 10. Last year, the Pomeroys had a 23-17 overall record and did not play any conference outings. The team scored 226 runs and had a batting average of 0.28 with a 34.8 on-base percentage.
