With the Blue Devils of Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) taking down the 13th ranked Grey Wolves of Lourdes University (Ohio) to the tune of 71-64.

Despite their best efforts and being up by two with 30 seconds to go, the Blue Devils fell in a heartbreaking, miracle half court hail mary basket from the hands of Kevin Smith II in the final seconds of the match.

    Southfield: In what looked to be a bounce-back win for this young Blue Devil squad tonight alongside an upset of sorts in the conference fell short tonight with the Warriors able to keep the Blue Devils at bay. The Blue Devils would fall to the Warriors of Rochester University (Mich.) 64-78 on Wednesday evening inside the Don Ridler Field House.

Blue Devils fall to the Crusaders of Madonna University (Mich.) to the tune of 70-86 on Thursday evening inside the Don Ridler Field House. In what looked to be a bounce back game for the Blue Devils tonight after their loss to the Pilots of Bethel (Ind.) back on December 28th, was all but the case after a second half push by the Crusaders.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich-The Blue Devils of Lawrence Technological University (MI) fell to the No. 9 ranked Pilots of Bethel University (Ind.) inside the Weikamp Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon by a score of 73-105. The Blue Devils came into the game after a hard-fought victory last Friday night looking to make it two in a row for the first time since early on in the season. The Pilots had a different version of tonight’s game in which they dominated over the course of 40 minutes. The Blue Devils seemed to not be able to answer the call tonight on the offensive side and defensive end of things all afternoon.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University (7-5, 2-4) will be back on the hardwood this Saturday, December 28th, to take the No. 9 ranked Pilots from Bethel (Ind.) University. The Pilots of off to a historic start in their 2019-2020 season, as they are a perfect 12-0 and have defeated four teams ranked inside the top 25 at the date of competition. The game is set to tipoff at 3:00pm on the Campus of Bethel University, located in Mishawaka, Ind.
  • A Strong Second Half and a Breakout Game From Dewayn Allen Lifts the Blue Devils Over Goshen

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University (7-5, 2-4) took down Goshen (Ind.) College (4-11, 0-3) inside the Don Ridler Field House on Friday night by a score of 76-74. It was a tale of two halves for the Blue Devils as they scored 18 more points in the second half than they did in the first. This strong second half was the difference maker and lifted the Blue Devils to their seventh win of the season.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s basketball team (6-4, 2-3) will be back home at the Don Ridler Fieldhouse to host the (RV) University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines (10-3, 4-1), who currently sit just outside the top 25 in the latest coaches’ poll. It will be the Blue Devils last conference game before the New Year, however, they will have two non-conference game before ringing in the New Year. The game is scheduled to begin Saturday, December 14th at 3:00pm.
  • Blue Devils Stumble on the Road; Drop Conference Contest vs. Aquinas (Mich.) College

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s basketball team stumbled on the road vs. the Saints of Aquinas (Mich.) College by a score of 59-81. The strong offense performance by the Saints kept the Blue Devils from making a run at any point in the game. The Blue Devils shot 45.7% from the field, but the Saints were on fire making 58.2% of their shots.
  • Blue Devils Back in Action After Long Layoff; On the Road at Aquinas College

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s basketball team (6-3, 2-2) is finally back on the court after being off since November 26th. They will be traveling to Grand Rapids, Mich. for a WHAC match-up vs. the Saints of Aquinas (Mich.) College (2-10. 0-4).  It will be a Saturday afternoon contest, scheduled to begin at 3:00pm on December 7th. This meeting between the Saints and Blue Devils is going to be a special meeting. Aquinas College has an event every year called Holiday Hoops, “When Christmas meets basketball.” There will be holiday music, Santa Claus, and much more. There are also granting free admission to all fans who bring two non-perishable food items to donate to the campus’ food pantry.     FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s basketball team (6-3, 1-2) dropped a road contest to No. 23 Indiana Tech. It was a rough first half by the Blue Devils that put them in an uphill battle for the full 40 minutes. The Blue Devils would rally in the second half to pull within three, but just did not have enough left in the tank to finish the comeback and would fall by a score of 55-70.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological University men’s basketball team (6-2, 2-1) are winners of three of their last four, and will be looking to go into the Thanksgiving holiday as winners of three straight. The Blue Devils will be on the road to take on the No. 23 team in the country out of Indiana Tech. The two Warriors and Blue Devils are set to tip off at 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 26th inside the Schaefer Center on Indiana Tech’s campus.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s basketball team defeated Concordia (Mich.) University – Ann Arbor 79-68 on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Southfield, Mich. Blue Devils go on a 17-3 run to open second half, shooting 58.1 percent from the field in the second quarter to fuel their sixth win of the season.

University men’s basketball team (5-2, 1-1) will be back at the Don Ridler Field House this Saturday, November 23rd, for a WHAC game vs. the Cardinals of Concordia University-Ann Arbor (3-4, 1-0). The game is set to tip off directly after the conclusion of the women’s basketball game between the Blue Devils and Cardinals. The predicted start time for the men’s game is 3:00pm.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s basketball team (4-2, 0-1) fell to the No. 12 visiting Golden Eagles of Cornerstone (Mich.) University (5-2, 1-0) by a score of 60-67. The Blue Devils battled and kept the game close the entire game. The first half saw the Golden Eagles hold a lead the entire half, and were able to fend off the Blue Devils for the first 20 minutes. A seven point run by the Blue Devils gave them their only lead of the night, halfway through the second half, but the Golden Eagles were able to recapture the lead and held on until the game was over.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s basketball team (4-1, 0-0) is set to open up conference play this Saturday, November 16th. Coming to the Don Ridler Field House on the Campus of LTU will be the No. 12 Golden Eagles of Cornerstone (Mich.) University (4-2, 0-0). It will be a good test for the Blue Devils, who are off to their best start in program history. The game is set to tipoff at 6:00pm. It has been pushed back two hours due to the WHAC Women’s Volleyball Tournament taking place at the Don Ridler Field House earlier in the day.

University by a score of 79-76. The Blue Devils finished 1-1 on the weekend after winning the tightly contested battle with the Trolls on Saturday afternoon.

University men’s basketball team (3-1) dropped their first game of the season at the 2019 Trinity Christian Troll Classic to St. Xavier (Ill.) College (3-0). A tough first half for the Blue Devils proved to be the difference maker in the game, and the Blue Devils could not make-up the large deficit in the second half. The game ended with the Blue Devils scoring 63 and the Cougars 76.

They will be playing two games in two days. Game one is a Friday night matchup vs. the Cougars of St. Xavier (Ill.) University (2-0) at 7:00pm. Saturday will see the Blue Devils take on the Trolls of Trinity Christian (Ill.) University (1-1) at 3:00pm.

The Blue Devils will start their weekend off with a Friday evening game vs. Roosevelt (Ill.) University at 5:00pm and will play their second game of the weekend on Saturday vs. Brescia (Ky.) University. Tip-off for the second game is scheduled for 3:00pm.
