SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's volleyball team continues to struggle as they dropped their ninth straight game this season to (9) Lourdes (Ohio) University on Wednesday evening in Sylvania, Ohio.
Lawrence Tech now falls to 0-9 on the season after their 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-16) loss to Lourdes. The Blue Devils got off to a sluggish start, falling behind 12-4 after committing six consecutive errors in set one. Lourdes eventually doubled LTU, 20-10, and went on to win the set 25-11.
In set two the Gray Wolves jumped out to a hot start, gaining an 8-4 lead before Jacob Paige found Lawrence Patton to hammer one home, bringing the count to 10-9. LU ended up taking the set 20-25. Lourdes also took set three 25-16 after going on a 6-3 run to seal the game 3-0.
Alejandro Gonzalez led LTU with nine kills followed by Lawrence Patton with four. Jacob Paige finished with 10 assists while Gospel Sua added seven assists and two blocking assists. Gonzalez and Jonathan Kashat both added six digs respectfully.
The Blue Devils will now travel to Palos Heights, Illinois for a 7:00 P.M. contest with Trinity Christian (Ill.) College on February 17.
